I was having an idle wander round https://www.geograph.org.uk/ when I belatedly found they do Photo Collections. These include somebody who appears to have tried to do a fairly comprehensive photographic review of DMUs, for example https://www.geograph.org.uk/article/Class-166-diesel-multiple-units. Also a more geogaphical view https://www.geograph.org.uk/article/Stations-from-Reading-to-Didcot

Not railways, but I must admit I was intrigued by https://www.geograph.org.uk/article/St-Kilda-and-Rockall. And for those of a morbid curiosity https://www.geograph.org.uk/geotrips/2029.

Geograph is more than just a collection of random photos.
